The Tangerine Dream/Whole House is the entire house (which consists of two units, the upstairs is Unit A & the downstairs is Unit B (also listed separately). Located on the quiet north end and close to shops, restaurants & a short .2 miles to the beach ( couple blocks). The complete house consists of two bedrooms, two baths upstairs & one bedroom, one bath downstairs. Everything you need to enjoy your stay. Use our Concierge service for the ultimate vacay!

Good to know

The fenced yard is available only for guests renting the entire Retreat or Unit A. It is NOT available for guest renting Unit B only. Although both units are pet friendly, only guests renting Unit A or the entire retreat can use backyard. If Unit A is not occupied, Unit B guests can use.

Other Details to Note

Please note: Units DO NOT connect from the inside. You can only access the downstairs unit from the outside. Upstairs: Master bedroom: king bed and a futon. 2nd bedroom: queen bed. Living room: sleeper sofa and large chair that converts to a single bed. Downstairs: queen bed and sofa sleeper in the living area. The City of Tybee has a noise ordinance which states you must keep noise to a minimum after 10:00 PM and it is enforced. This is a residential neighborhood with full-time residents who WILL call the police if you disregard the ordinance. Dogs are allowed (40 lbs & under) with a $100 non-refundable pet fee. PLEASE NOTE: you must inform us AT BOOKING if you plan to bring your fur baby so that you can pay the fee. If you bring a pet and do not inform us or pay the fee, we will charge you double the pet fee. Since we are allowing you to bring your pet into our home, we expect honesty when doing so. You could be charged for extra cleaning if you leave an excessive mess. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE BEACH at any time and fine is hefty. We provide beach chairs and bikes as a courtesy and things tend to go missing and/or get broken so we cannot always guarantee what will be there but we try to keep it accurate. There is a pump for flat tires on the porch. There are rentals for chairs and bikes on the island if needed. **Please note, we provide "start up" supplies such as: a few trash bags, a roll of paper towels, a couple of rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, a few dishwasher pods and a few washing machine pods. If you anticipate you might need more of these items, you are encouraged to bring it. Also, please note, we are located in the hot & humid south, near the water where bugs love to be too! Please be aware that you may encounter our local bug-"the palmetto" bug at some point during you stay. This is not a cleanliness issue but an environmental one and something that cannot be helped. The unit is sprayed on a regular, monthly basis. EARLY CHECK-IN/LATE CHECK-OUT INFO: Please be advised, during the busy season and holidays, we are on a very strict schedule with our housekeeping staff and appreciate your understanding that early check-ins and late check-outs will most likely, not be possible.

House rules

Who can rent: The person responsible for making a reservation, the "Renter," must be at least 25 years of age, secure the reservation with a major credit card that is in their name and occupy the rental property during the reservation period. We are pet-friendly (up to 50 lbs.) YOU MUST notify us that you are bringing a pet at the time of your reservation. There will be a $100 non-refundable pet deposit charged to you at the time of booking (no more than two are allowed). If there is an un-authorized pet present, we will charge double the normal pet fee. Our cleaning fee will increase if there is extensive cleaning to be done outside of a normal cleaning both within and outside of the property. You could be charged up to $500.00 in damages. You will also be charged for smoking inside the unit. Tybee has a noise ordinance so please be respectful of the neighbors and obey the rules! Lastly, please be advised: We allow early check-in's ONLY with prior arrangements and only if we are able to due to housekeeping schedule.

Neighborhood

The north end of Tybee is quiet and close to shops, restaurants, the Lighthouse and a short distance to the beach (2 blocks to nearest boardwalk to beach). Jaycee Park is close by with a nice walking trail, playground, disc golf, picnic area and a pickle ball court.

Guest Access

If you are renting the entire house (both units) you will have access to the entire parking area as well as front and back yards.

My family reserved the entire home and it worked out great. We had plenty of space and privacy available to us and the extra guests we brought on our trip. Location was great with a short walk to the beach as well as nearby restaurants and convenience stores. The house also had various things like bikes and beach equipment to make our trips to the beach even better. I will note the bikes were lacking maintenance, but we just needed to pump the tires and clean them up a little and we were able to use them. Overall, we were very happy with the place and it was perfect for a family get together at Tybee Island.

This place was great for walking to the beach, walking to restaurants on the island, and being able to drive into Savannah for the day! She was always responsive and made sure that all our questions were answered. Would recommend!

Great place to stay, would stay again. Host was responsive and kind. Small electrical issue with a few outlets not working, but nothing to disrupt our stay. House was well organized and wonderful to stay at. Checkout was easy process and we even did a bit extra such as vacuuming to be sure that we didn’t leave pet hair behind. Definitely would stay again in the future.

Find us

Bikes and golf carts are excellent modes of transportation on the island! We also have several very reasonable , local taxi service companies and this info can be found in the unit notebook. Parking is plentiful at the house. If you park anywhere on the island, be sure and obey the Park and Pay signs. Tickets are not cheap!
